A wonderful long arming service
I wanted to pass on my sincere thanks to you for providing such a wonderful long arming service. Over the past 3 years you have taken care of many quilts which there have been a variety of sizes and styles. You have always offered guidance and suggestions regarding pantograph options together with thread colour. Turnaround times are set and met; you have even managed to squeeze in the odd quilt at very short notice for which I have been very grateful.

Carolyn has a natural ability to teach
Just want to say few words about the fabulous teacher Carolyn is. Carolyn has a natural ability to teach and make me want to learn, is calm (remember the time I spilled a cup of coffee on her newly made demo quilt. she took it all in her stride and in the evening even messaged me to say I wasn’t to worry about it as she had washed it - no lasting damage!). She is so knowledgeable and keen to share her skills while making it fun. I have attended many of her workshops over the past 8 years from Ruler Quilting to picture making with paint/fabric and free motion embroidery to full size quilt making and would encourage anyone thinking about learning a new craft to sign up for a workshop. Just signed up for 2 more workshops in 2025.

I learned so much about quilting
I love Carolyn’s classes and have attended many of her sessions as well as her longer term block of the month sampler quilt courses where I learned so much about patchwork and quilting as well as making new friends. Carolyn’s explains everything in a way that gives you confidence to achieve the finished result. From the basics of patchwork to the more intricate designs plus techniques such as paper piecing, Carolyn’s classes are enjoyable and informative. Her quilt designs are lovely and suit every level of ability with clear and precise instructions.

I am fairly new to sewing and quilting so I joined a beginners sample block quilt course run by Carolyn. She had designed a beautiful quilt which covered a range of different skills. At each monthly session we were given templates and easy to follow written instructions. She also gave many practical step by step demonstrations and taught us in a relaxed and calm manner.Nothing is ever too much trouble and she has a great sense of humour! I have learnt so much through Carolyn and really look forward to every session.

I joined Carolyn’s Suffolk Sample course feeling a bit nervous as I had a break from quilting as having a busy work schedule and home life just left me with no time at all to myself! After the first session, Carolyn’s expertise, patience and passion for quilting and most importantly sense of humour made me feel at eased instantly. I highly recommend Carolyn’s classes whether you are an absolute beginner or a confident quilter. Once I have finished the Suffolk Sample Quilt, I will certainly be doing another course with Carolyn.

I took a Liberty quilt to Carolyn a little over a year ago and recently she had my precious hand sewn hexagon flower quilt. On both occasions she took the time to go through the quilting options with me and I left feeling happy and confident that I had been able to explore all the possibilities and that I had chosen the best pattern for my quilt top. I was very pleased with the results. Carolyn is a professional in every way - her sewing knowledge and skills are first rate and she also has the gift of ensuring her customer’s wishes are a priority.
